Stressful House Selling Drama and Meet My Calm

Herbs for Stress Relief

I’ve mentioned that Mr. Bejelly and I listed our house in Mid-January and we had some quick success.  We accepted an offer  after only 7 days on the market.  I was excited and stressed about having to find our next house.  However during the 10 business day waiting period, where the buyer can back out of the deal,  they sent a roofer to check out our roof.    Three days later our Realtor called to say that the roof is shot.  I was shocked.    I never thought that our roof was bad and I worked in the construction industry for 8 years.   The deal ended up falling through and since then  we have had two other roofers come out and proclaim our roof is good and has another 8 years of life.

To say I got stress is an understatement.    Can someone hand me a stress-free button?    It’s times like this I turn to:

  • Exercise –  Mr. Bejelly doesn’t call me 10K for kicks.  I need my 5 mile walks now or I just feel like the pits.
  •  Massage – As soon as we are in our new house, I plan on a 3 hour spa treatment.
  •  Aromatherapy – My middle name is “Lavandula Angustifolia” .
  • Herbal support –  You would think you were walking into an apothecary if you saw my pantry.

See those juicy red berries.  Those are Schisandra berries and they are nature’s answer to help your body resist stress.   I have actually used them to help me “meet my calm” when dealing with stressful situations like doctors appointments as I deal with White Coat syndrome.

Gaia Herbs sells products that contain these amazing berries, in addition to even more helpful herbal stress remedies.  I think I may end up buying them in bulk to deal with the interesting characters who are making offers on our home. Don’t even get me started on the offer we received last night.  I would not be shocked to have a buyer claim we have aliens in our attic in the attempt to get the price down.  Sigh.  However, I am beyond thankful  that I can turn to Gaia Herbs for a natural, harmonious way of reducing my stress.

My stress and anxiety levels have been out of this world for three months. One of the best things I am doing to help with the stress is weekly massage therapy. I feel so relaxed and sound after my appointments. I’m also making sure that the music I listen to is Zen-inspired and that I have a lot of pleasing aromas in my home. Lavender, sage, woodsy scents, etc. It helps. I’ve also been trying to eliminate my negative feelings. It’s harder than I thought but it needs to be done.

My stress is living up to people’s expectations. Doing well in academics, sports, extracurricular activities, and my appearance to others. While I do love the feeling of working hard to accomplish my goals, it does get tiring when people expect more of what you’re capable of. However, I am able to remain calm and balanced in my life by just living in my own pace and drinking my green tea.

My father has had a stroke and a number of cancer surgeries. while I might be the oldest of 7 there are only 3 of us that live in the are. One is the mother of 4 young children with her youngest having a heart health issue too. So a good portion of the care for my parents is myself and one brother. I have a few health issues too that crop up every now and again. Also due to my health issue I do not have a job so financial stress is in there as well.
