a girl worth saving

Last week when I shared my weight loss success story,

I was blown away by the stories that some of you shared with me about your journeys.

About your struggles . . .

and it broke my heart when I heard how much of you had lost faith in yourself.

The truth is, most of us are broken.

We’ve been told lies our whole lives about beauty . . .

about health . . .

We’ve been taught to ignore our inner wisdom and years later we no longer can distinguish the truth from fiction . . .

“For never before in story or rhyme
(not even once upon a time)
has the world ever known a you, my friend,
and it never will, not ever again ….”
On the Night That You Were Born

These are wise words from one of my son’s favorite story books.

Without ever meeting you, or knowing you, the fact that you are here  in this moment of time is something beautiful.

Without ever meeting you or knowing you, I know that you have the power to transform your life and find your happiness.

Your happiness is not your parent’s hand-me-down version of happiness or society’s version of happiness.

It’s what makes you glow and calls to your spirit.

How ever you discovered me,  I’m sure that the name of my site called to you  for a reason. . .

Are you a girl (or guy) worth saving?

I believe you are.

It’s time you believed in yourself enough to take back control of your health…
