Since I’ve transitioned to the Keto diet, it’s awesome to know that I can  eat this low carb alfredo sauce recipe every day.

In my opinion butter, cream and Parmesan are signs that  we have a creator with an amazing set of taste buds and thankfully, Liz Wolfe from Real Food Liz has been kicking butt and taking names with her new book “Eat The Yolks“.

First, Liz is brilliant and funny (and super cute).  You will laugh out loud while learning about  the lipid hypothesis  and Leptin.  Seriously.  Her book will break down the lies that you have been told.

You’ll learn truths like:

  • Fat and cholesterol are crucial, not harmful . . . and why
  • “Whole grains” are processed foods . . . and what to eat instead
  • Counting calories is waste of energy  . . . and what we actually should be tracking
  • All animal products are not created equal . . and which ones we truly need
  • Nutrition doesn’t come in a box, bag or capsule . . . and why there’s not substitute for real food!

If you want to learn how to truly find vibrant health, stop wasting time and buy her book today!

  2. omg this actually sounds so amazing…..sunday lunch anyone??? :O
I’m new to Paleo and still trying to get my head around the whole “eating fat” thing and trying to be comfortable with it. I’ve read heaps of research on how eggs don’t actually raise cholesterol and know all the science behind it, yet I still feel antsy if I have more than 2 a day! :O It’s crazy how ingrained we are with bad habits!!!

    Thanks!

  6. I used to be one of those people that jumped on the low-fat low-cal foods bandwagon. So glad I took an interest in my health and learned the truth about what is healthy. Such a simple recipe that is so delicious!

  8. This is perfection. And the very thing I have been trying to beat into my (and my families) head. I adore Liz. Like adore. In that non creepy want to be her best friend so we can drink kombucha and talk about goats and butter kind of way. But as someone who suffered from disordered eating for seven years, these are some hard truths to hold onto. I know them all in my head and can explain the science, but I still find myself pulling back from a plate of saturated fat at times. Then I snap back into it and remind myself of what I know is true. It also doesn’t help that everyone around me still believes the whole low fat whole grain boo hockey. Ugh, old habits die hard I guess?

  9. Ugh so it deleted my whole comment so here we go again, haha…

Basically, this looks incredible. Fettuccini Alfredo was my all time FAVORITE growing up. But of course as soon as I got into “nutrition” I ditched it for whole grain pasta with fat free red sauce.. I spent over half my life dealing with disordered eating and living in the low fat whole grain lifestyle. That is, until I discovered people like you and Liz. I seriously adore Liz. Like in the non creepy I want to be your best friend and drink kombucha on your farm while talking about butter and cholesterol kind of adore. You all have taught me not to fear foods, but to nourish my body. I admit I still struggle with the low fat lies sometimes and quickly try to snap back into it. It doesn’t help when everyone around me still believes the mainstream nutrition lies. Old habits die hard I suppose?
I would love this book to be able to understand even more the reasons why these things are truly good for my body. Any truths to drive out the lies help! 🙂

  11. I would love to win this book. I am tired of big Pharm and the food industry telling us what we should or should not be eating. LIES! It’s mostly LIES!

  12. This looks so yummy, I think I’m going to try it tonight! But it looks like it makes a LOT of sauce – how many zucchini are needed to make enough noodles for all the sauce? And do you saute your zucchini noodles?

  13. I still enjoy Alfredo sauce – the problem until a short time ago was the noodles…now I have a spiralizer, and am working at making them more often (because I love the homemade Alfredo Sauce over the jarred).

The book looks like lots of fun ad good reading, and I would enjoy getting it.

  14. I just made an alfredo recipe similar to yours the other night and was feeling so guilty about the cream and the butter and the cheese! I feel much better now and look forward to eating it again soon! It is awesome on zucchini noodles!
