The Hood strawberries are in season and The Little has been plowing through them like a steam roller over hot asphalt.

My husband seriously berated the heck out of me for buying, dare I say it, California strawberries, but hello, they were on sale.    They were rather sad looking things and I only bought because I was thinking of cooking them.

Then it got hot as heck in Portland, like over 80 degrees and all I wanted was something fun and cool to drink. Normally I turn to one of my favorite whole30 desserts but . . .

This strawberry spritzer recipe is so simple and you can also make it with any other berries that you love.

A mango blueberry one sound fun and so does a peach raspberry one.    If you don’t want to add sweetener use really ripe juicy berries and you can keep this completely sugar-free.

  1. Great recipe, and it sounds quite refreshing! It sounds somewhat similar to the refreshing drink I made yesterday. Instead, I used Kevita’s sparkling probiotic vegan coconut beverage.
