Paleo Kahlua Pork

I love pork.  Seriously, I could eat it every single day and when you combine the pork, bacon and slow cooker, you can’t go wrong.

With Fall in it’s righteous glory, I knew it was time to break out my super simple Slow Cooker Kalua pork recipe.

It might be tempting to skip the salt since, well, I use a pack of bacon in this recipe but the extra black lava sea salt does kick it up a notch.  Of course, you can simply season to taste after the recipe is done.

One of my favorite ways to eat this is with coleslaw.  This recipe makes a bunch so you can easily freeze it and reheat in your skillet with a tablespoon of coconut oil or butter.

Is that bark from the slow cooker?

What kind of salt could be substituted for the black lava salt? Or perhaps the better question is what kind of flavor does the black lava salt impart (aside from saltiness)?

You can use celtic sea salt and it works well also 🙂
