I never had chicken wings until I married my husband.

Honestly, I’ve always been kinda weirded out by chicken on the bone.  One day we went out to eat Mr. Bejelly ordered chicken wings and I decided to be brave and try them. I was instantly hooked. I started searching the internet for all things chicken wings and found some real gems like this instant pot chicken wings recipe however I wanted something crisper.

I immediately started seeing what I could create with chicken wings and this Sesame Chicken Wings recipe baby was born.

How do you prepare chicken wings?

Whisk together the water, maple syrup, sea salt and chili powder. Place the chicken wings in a shallow baking dish.

Pour the liquid mixture oven the chicken and turn to coat. Sprinkle with the sesame seeds.

Place pan in the oven and bake until the juice run clear – about 25 to 30 minutes.
