5 Tips to getting a good night of sleep

One of the most difficult things to get in life is a good night of sleep. This is caused by many different factors, but stress and excitement are two that most often cause this. For most of us, when it comes time to sleep, we still have many things on our mind that take away from a satisfying sleep. On top of that, if you add other factors like not having a good bed or not being comfortable sleeping alone, you will end up with insomnia or not resting well as you suppose to. This leads to decreased performance and a bad attitude. Fortunately, there are some things you can do to ensure you have a better night’s sleep. Here are some tips to help you rest better at night and get the sleep you deserve after a long day of work:

 

 

  • Find a good bed: Possibly the most important factor when it comes to getting a good night’s sleep is a comfortable bed. This can be the difference between waking up sore and tired and feeling refreshed. Look for a comfortable mattress that keeps your body in a flat position to improve your comfort and make you rest better. Pick the size wisely; Queen or King size are always the best options unless your house doesn’t allow you to fit one in your room. If you detect that your back has a problem, go and see your doctor, he may prescribe you a specific type of mattress that can help with your problem.

 

 

 

  • Create the perfect ambiance: Make sure that your room helps you to unwind at night. What is calming to one person. may be distracting to another, so this is all about personal preference. You can try music, aromatherapy or white noise. Even certain tones, wall colors and pictures make a difference. Try a few different things and see which works best for you but be sure to keep in mind anyone that may share your space!

 

 

 

  • Find an extra activity: Sometimes we have so much energy in the evening that we can’t fall asleep quickly and our brains won’t shut off. That can keep us awake until the hours of the early morning and we will wake up tired and moody.  Doing some exercise may help to wind us down because when we burn energy, we force our body to ask for more and better rest.   • Watch your diet: Believe it or not, what you eat can affect your quality of sleep. If you eat heavy and late, you will feel uncomfortable when you go to bed, since your body is using energy to digest the food. Your body won’t be ready to shut down and will keep you awake. A best practice is to always have dinner at least 3 hours before you head to bed,
