Learning deep breathing or meditation will help you relax. Listening to soothing music will also help to make the pain more bearable. Massage can also effectively reduce stress and tension. There are several other relaxation techniques you can use to manage your stress which in turn will lessen the pain you are dealing with.

3.  Join a support group.

It will help to know that you are not alone in your pain. Meeting other people, whether in person or online, who suffer similar symptoms will help you cope with your own experiences as you benefit from the wisdom they impart and the information that they are willing to share. You can also consider getting professional counseling to help you avoid negative thoughts which can worsen your pain. Counseling can help you understand what you are going through and guide you towards a healthier attitude.
