This Paleo Cranberry sauce is made with only 4 ingredients and you can easily add orange rind or juice for a simple twist. Homemade cranberry sauce is so simple to make and kicks the pants out of store bought.

Cranberry sauce is one of my favorite things to eat and now it seems a shame that I only eat it during the holidays (note to self: buy extra bags and freeze so you can cook them during the rest of the year).
Anyhow, coming off the 21 Day Sugar Detox there is no way that I’m going to jump into candy-like cranberry sauce so instead I choose to focus on using less sugar with this this beautiful fruit.

I also added a big ol pinch of my favorite spice – Cinnamon. This recipe is so simple and gives the perfect sweet and sour balance.
Can I add orange to this Paleo Cranberry Sauce?
Yes, of course! Feel free to add fresh orange rind and replace the water with orange juice.
How early can I make this ahead?
You can easily make this a month ahead and freeze it. Just make sure to defrost two days before your holiday dinner.
