Mr. Bejelly is a huge car guy.

I’ve sat through 1000s of hours of car shows, gone to an uncountable amount of car shows and watched him light up like a Christmas light every single time he gets to see a car in real life that he’s only dreamed of.

We’ve owned European cars in the past and I hate to even admit it but yes, there is a noticeable difference in how they drive versus American or Asian made cars. They drive smoother and when you invest in a top of the line luxury model, the interior is droolworthy. Seriously, who can resist the smell of high quality leather?

Lately he’s been checking out used BMW models and I can see that he’s got an itch to own another one.

Everyone know that used cars can be a crapshoot, which is why I’m already jumping into researching the top 3 most reliable used BMW models. I’m also looking at car parts for any future repairs and just bookmarked the bestpartstore.co.uk online shop for when the time comes.

#1 2013 BMW 1 Series

Not only is this model a beauty but USA News gives it a reliability score of 5 of 5. Even better news it that the current average price of this car is less than $20,000.

#2 2014 BMW 4 Series

This model is known for its sharp handling and great fuel economy (hello do you see how much gas is these days?). With a reliability score of 4 out of 5, and an average price tag of less than $32,000 – this one is high on the list.

#3 2009 BMW X3

This is the oldest vehicle on my list but it’s still got a reliability score of 5 of 5. What I love about this vehicle is that it’s a compact SUV and can be found for less than $10,000. When you have two kids, you haul a lot of stuff and a sedan just doesn’t’ cut it for me these days. I’m personally rooting for this car.

Do you you have an older BMW? If so, what do you love about it and how reliable it is for you?
