So why is it that we are so critical of ourselves when trying to lose weight? Well, one of the biggest reasons we’re extremely critical of ourselves is because we don’t see the results we want in the time we expect. To follow up on that question, why aren’t we seeing the results we want to see in the time frame we expect? 

For one, the time frame most people give themselves to lose the weight they want isn’t realistic. A lot of people have it in their minds that because they went to the gym for two weeks that they should be seeing weight loss result… that’s not a realistic time frame to have in your head. By thinking like that, you’re on the fast track to weight loss failure and even weight gain.

Secondly, their approach to weight loss is all wrong. From choosing the wrong diets to trying to kill themselves in the gym. People really make losing weight harder than it really is, especially in their approaches. What people fail to realize is that losing weight is all about your mindset. The main way to lose weight is to burn more calories than you consume, right? Yes, but that also doesn’t mean to starve yourself either. You can actually gain weight if you don’t eat enough… a lot of people don’t even realize that. By starving your body from enough calories, your body will hold on to fat, thinking that it may not get another meal, so look at it as though your body is going into “food shock” by withholding food from it.

Not Giving Yourself Enough Time to Lose Weight

We are an impatient species, aren’t we? Humans. We want what we want, when we want it. In simpler terms, we want to lose weight and see results immediately.
