Belly Fat. One of the most hated words in the vernacular and I happen to blessed with an abundance of it. I carry most of my weight in my lower belly and it’s the last place I lose weight. Even when I was a size 10, I had a round belly. Now at a size 16, I’m thinking that a good 8% of my body fat ratio is jiggling belly fat. Here are some helpful tips I found to get rid of it.
4 Tips for How to Lose Belly Fat:
1) Get enough sleep
2) Watch your cortisol and stress levels
3) Interval training
4) Intermittent Fasting – I can’t wait until I start doing this again!
So what am I going to do? Keep on chugging along on my weight loss journey until I reach my goal and then access if the belly is where I want it and continue or if I have to just let go and accept it. I know it’s the last place to lose weight for everyone and that getting rid of it might require more intense exercise, strong dietary restriction or liposuction – neither of which I am interested in at the moment.
I’ve walked every day this week. I’ve gotten into the routine of throwing Little into his stroller and bumping around our neighborhood and the little shops that grace our downtown area. We’re usually out for 2 hours. I also gotten out for an after work walk with Mr. Bejelly. I’m sleeping better but my back has been bothering me. It has never been the same since pregnancy and I think seeing a chiropractor (and doing more stretching) is in order. My goal is to walk 6 days a week and alternate yoga during the week. I’m just not fit enough for the Simple Fit but in a month or two, I plan on changing it up and adding their exercises.
I am going to tighten up my diet to strict Paleo for the rest of the month and see if that helps with the weight loss and belly fat since it will eliminate any inflammatory foods. I jumped in the Whole 30 challenge on MDA and already it’s tough. I miss my Breve. Again, I miss my BREVE!
