This simple strawberry salsa recipe is perfect with corn chips or over grilled chicken! Customize the heat by adding more jalapeno!

When I think of summer, I think of strawberries.

I think of me and the Little taking a trip to the farmer’s market and buying crate after crate of strawberries, blackberries, and blueberries and then going home and pigging out on nature’s sweetness.

It’s a miracle that my skin doesn’t have a red and blue tinge during berry season. At first, my son as begging me to make fresh jam, so I could whip up a vegan perok cake, but, cough, I was lazy as normal on that day and decided to make fruit salsa instead.

When I learned that Oprah is launching a brand new season of #Harvestday and that each recipe was inspired by ingredients harvested out of her very own garden, I knew that I had to share her Strawberry Salsa recipe.

Like most cooks, I did take a little creative license by skipping the jam since the fruit was so sweet that it didn’t need any additional sweeteners. However, if your fruit isn’t as in season as you would like, please add it since it really makes a difference in flavor.

 What you’ll need for this Recipe:

  • Fresh Strawberries
  • Kiwis
  • Apples
  • Lemon
  • Fresh raspberries
  • Strawberry Jam (Skip if doing Whole30)


How to Make This Strawberry Salsa Recipe:

Combine all the ingredients in a medium bowl and lightly mix with a wood spoon until combined.

Serve with your favorite chips and enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Fresh Strawberries hulled and diced
  • 2 Kiwis peeled and diced
  • 2 apples finely diced
  • 1 lemon juiced
  • 1/2 lb fresh raspberries
  • 2 Tablespoons Strawberry Jam Skip if doing Whole30

Instructions

  1. Combine all the ingredients in a medium bowl and lightly mix with a wood spoon until combined.
  2. Serve with your favorite chips and enjoy!
