One of the most common reasons for foot pain is disease. Foot pain might be a symptom of a larger problem, such as a disease… like gout or diabetes. These two diseases directly affect the health of your feet. 

Gout

Gout is a disease that is characterized by swelling and pain in the feet that usually originates in your big toe. Gout typically begins in one area or joint and can spread throughout the body with time. It is typically caused by an imbalance in the afflicted person’s diet, namely too much uric acid in your system. 

If you have an intense and sharp pain that originates from your joint, you could be suffering from gout. Your doctor will diagnose you and help you find a lifestyle that helps limit the uric acid in your system. Generally, gout can be treated with a combination of lifestyle changes and medicine. Diabetes

You Might Not Be Supporting Your Feet Properly

Another reason you could be in pain is if you are not giving your feet enough support. Like the other muscles in your body, your feet need some assistance from time to time. Walking around in poorly made shoes is horrible for your feet. 

If the soles of your shoes are too thin, or you wear high heels, you could be putting your feet at serious risk. Shoes that aren’t made with support in mind can wreak havoc on the muscles on the bottom of your feet and lead to conditions like plantar fasciitis. 

Plantar Fasciitis

Plantar fasciitis is an affliction that comes when the muscles on the bottom of the foot are repeatedly stressed or stretched beyond their limit for an extended period of time. This condition leads to a sharp pain that originates in the heel and a tight, painful sensation in your calves.  

The heel pain is especially prominent in the morning, or in the first few steps after a period spent laying down. Some patients describe it as stepping on glass. This condition can take months to treat. So the best thing to do is wear supportive shoes to prevent or limit the worsening of the condition as much as possible. 

You Have A Small Injury
