Baby, it’s cold outside…but that doesn’t mean you can’t still benefit from a beautiful glow! You might not be feeling as sun-kissed as you did during the summer months, but there are plenty of ways you can still look and feel good during the winter. While you welcome cozy jumpers and feet-hugging boots as you venture out into the cold, remember to keep up with your beauty routine and be prepared to make some seasonal adjustments. Below are 5 timeless beauty tips that are great for winter.

  1. Lip Balm

If you love to highlight your lips you need to make sure they’re in good condition before you apply any lipstick or gloss. Unfortunately, the cold weather often leads to chapped and sometimes painful lips, which is why you should always have some quality lip balm stored in your purse or coat pocket. The skin on your lips is very sensitive, and while there are plenty of great brands to choose from, find one that is going to nourish your lips completely. Hemp-based balms are brilliant for this (and all kinds of skin-care), and you can find a selection of lovely balms online. Make the most of this Lazarus Naturals coupon and explore their fabulous hemp-based balms and other products to keep your lips looking divine all winter.

  1. Moisturize

You should be moisturizing at all times, but during the winter you must keep this up. Like your lips, during the colder months, your hands and skin are more susceptible to dryness and damage due to the weather conditions as well as an increase in central heating systems indoors. Moisturize both day and night, especially after a hot shower, to keep your skin in top condition. You should also invest in moisturizers that have SPF in them because although it might be winter your skin is still exposed to dangerous UV-rays.

  1. Conditioner and Heat Protection for Hair

During the summer you might have left your hair to dry naturally which is great, but it’s not advisable to do this when the temperatures have dropped, otherwise, you’re leaving yourself more vulnerable to catching a cold or the flu. However, repeated use of hairdryers, straighteners, and curling irons is not good for your hair, which is why you should use conditioner and heat protecting serums when you’re drying and styling your hair.

  1. Take Your Vitamins

Another thing you should be doing all year round is making sure your body is getting all the right minerals and vitamins it needs, but pay closer attention to this in winter. Not only will they help you feel good on the inside, but they will make you look great on the outside, too. In particular, make sure you’re getting plenty of vitamin C to help boost your immune system!

  1. Maintain a Healthy Diet

Everyone loves to indulge in comfort food during the winter, especially as it’s what marks the festive season. While it’s perfectly fine to treat yourself, make sure you’re still maintaining a balanced diet to avoid break-outs and bloating. When you take care of your insides, it shows on the outside.

Stay confident and gorgeous this winter with these 5 beauty tips!
