I’ve been coffee-free for several years now. Once I figured out it was wrecking my moods, I, in the most adult-like manner (no, I didn’t cry or have a hissy fit LIKE I WANTED TO), gave it up and started drinking tea. Then, with the magic luck that I always seem to have, I discovered Matcha.

Matcha is made from the whole leaf of green tea and ground into a powder. Matcha is like green tea on steroids and the flavor can be intense.

Most think that matcha has lower caffeine than coffee however, that’s not true. Matcha has similar caffeine levels to coffee however it also contains  L-theanine, that helps your body absorb the caffeine slowly.
