CBD oil has grown in massive popularity these times as it gives off different advantages. It is believed to be useful to fight anxiety (although this can be a little controversial), skin issues such as acne, and beneficial even to the hair. Some commercially produced shampoos, conditioners, and even hair gels contain CBD as a key ingredient. Before we delve into hair health tips using the CBD oil, let us first look into the benefits that we can get from it.

First, CBD enhances hair growth because of the stimulation of fatty acids, Omega-3, -6, and -9. CBD also contains gamma-linoleic acid or GLA, which encourages natural hair growth. Second, CBD oil has 21 amino acids that offer moisture and seal the hair cuticle. Lastly, high amounts of calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, potassium, and vitamin E can be found in CBD oil that helps address flaky and dry scalp, including psoriasis and eczema. There are more reasons why CBD is good for the hair. For a more in-depth discussion or read, check out this article Hemp Oil For Hair: Why Your Hair Loves CBD

If you are excited to know some new tips for your hair using CBD oil, then here they are.

1. Wash with CBD infused shampoo and conditioner at least 2-3 times a week.

Check your hair care products if they contain CBD in their ingredients list as not all commercially available hair care lines contain CBD. Otherwise, it’s time to do some hair shopping as you need a CBD infused shampoo and conditioner that best suits your hair type. Although we want to wash our hair regularly and as often as we can, it is better recommended to wash our hair at least 2-3 times per week so as not to dry out our hair.

2. Use a CBD infused hair mask.

The use of hair heating tools such as bower, hair iron, or curler damages the hair and sucks the life out of it, leaving it dry and frizzy. With the use of CBD infused hair masks, the hair will be revitalized, and moisture will be restored.

After shampoo and conditioner, apply the mask directly to your scalp and leave it on for 5-10mins. You can use the mask at least once a week. However, if you feel your scalp is itchy or irritated, then use this for at least 2-3 times until condition changes.

If you aim to revive your over-processed and frail hair, then before going to bed, apply the mask on your clean and towel-dried hair using a wide-toothed comb to distribute the product evenly. Don’t worry about leaving white or wet marks on your pillows as the hair will absorb the mask as it hydrates. In the morning, rinse your hair, and voila you have a hydrated healthier hair.

3. Use CBD infused hair gel or cream instead of the usual hair wax or gel.

Hair gels stay on the hair longer than shampoo and conditioner. Therefore to fully maximize your scalp’s absorption of the CBD oil and for softer hair, it is recommended to use a gel or cream in styling your hair for the day.
