When was the last time you did something for you, just for you, and when you did it all you felt was guilt?
Or perhaps, you did it and you could not be present and shut off that huge master list in your mind of bills, errands and “I should be doing (fill in the blank) instead.”
Sisters, let me share my story with you.
Three years ago it looked like I had the most amazing life – success, I had just got my book deal, we just moved into a much bigger home with a pool and inside I was a wreck. I was miserable, so imbalanced that I worked 60 hours a week, ignorned my family and I did it all in an attempt to keep us afloat. I was so broken inside and God stepped in a sent someone to help me.
I’ve worked with Marie for 2 years and my life has blossomed in ways that leave me overwhelmed with tearful gratidute.
In January and Febraury, I did some intensive work with her and I woke up from one session and I felt this amazing pull to CONNECT with my Sisters and share the healing of the understanding the Divine Feminine.
I see so many women just struggling under the weight of societal expectations. Add on top of this that women have been taught to fear each other’s beauty and power.
This leaves no space for women to connect and benefit from each other’s wisdom. We are alone in a world full of ways to connect.
I realized that the woman in me was starving and I was refusing to feed her. I was refusing to give myself even 3 minutes when I could give my family every drop of myself.
So many women are just as starved as I was. For this reason, I have created a group dedicated to Sacred Sisterhood and next week on Monday I’m starting a free 5 Day Simple Self-Care challenge. Do you want to learn how to surrender to the present so you can fill your cup?
- Do you want to learn more about the Divine Feminie?
- Do you want a space to connect to your Sisters and hold space with each other?
- Do you want to learn simple rituals for self-care?

Whoa. This really got to me! “I was refusing to give myself even 3 minutes when I could give my family every drop of myself.” I am doing some re-evaluating after reading this! Thank you!
Soooo awesome Kelly! And such an important topic since yeah, us women, we suck at the helping ourselves first thing. But if we don’t help ourselves then we can’t help others.
As a mom, especially of young children it’s so important to remember to take care of yourself. A healthy, happy mommy means healthy happy babies!
Wow – what an amazing challenge, especially for women. Self care is so important!!
This is such a great post! I don’t know exactly how it happened but somewhere over the last few years my days have gotten to be scheduled down to the minute and you’re always thinking about what you should be doing next – it’s gets hard to ever relax.
Love this challenge ! We all need a reminder to take care of ourselves a bit more ! Thank you for hosting this !
This is so awesome that you are doing this! I definitely can relate to feeling the pressure to constantly work or be playing with my daughter. What a great reminder to take care of myself!
Self-care is so important, and as women we are often not helped to prioritize it. Thank you for addressing this important aspect of health!
Self care and self love is so, so important!!!!
YES! YES! YES! to self care. Every day!
As working Mums we always forgot to take a little time out and nurture ourselves, such an important topic and reminder, thank you!
I love it! Thanks Kelly 🙂
What a great challenge! Love this idea. Even for those of us in the health and wellness field, it always helps to take a step back and reevaluate what we’re doing for self-care!
Oh my goodness, I needed to read this. Thank you for sharing your story, I can relate in many ways. I signed up and I’m looking forward to learning more from you soon. xo

Self-care is so important! Thank you for bringing this issue into the spotlight.
Honoring ourselves as women is an important part of life. Love this challenge!
This post really hit home with me. I’m sort of at that broken and overworked stage myself and really struggle to find even 5 minutes to myself. Thank you so much for this post – it’s really made me have a little think.
