Probiotics are one of the single most important elements for maintaining a healthy lifestyle. These forms of healthy bacteria are found in and around the human body – and without them, “there are many processes in the human body that can’t function as they should” says Alicia Harper from ProbioticReviewGirl.

Getting sick or having surgery can drop your body’s levels of natural probiotics, and this can have a disastrous effect on your health: The essential probiotics that your body needs to function aren’t there in the levels they should be (or aren’t there at all) – and when this happens, you can get sick.

Natural forms of probiotics can be found in things like kefir and natural yoghurt cultures: It’s recommended to add these things to your diet if you have been recently ill (or if you show any signs that your body’s level of probiotic bacteria has been affected).

Other forms of probiotics – usually a combination of several types of “probiotic” bacteria in one – can be bought over-the-counter at most drug stores or online. This is a commonly recommended option by doctors when people are in need of a serious health health rescue: Just a few days of a probiotics course can help get your body back to normal.

When to take probiotics is one of the most important things that you should know about your body: Taking them at the right time can mean restoring your body back to the best possible health – and all it takes is the right probiotics!

Here are 3 sure signs that your body is indicating when to take probiotics is NOW.

Immune System 

The immune system is the body’s way of protecting itself against the entry of any infections, bacteria or viruses that you might encounter during your day-to-day life. When the immune system sees what it thinks is an intruder, bacteria or a virus, it responds accordingly – and this can make people feel worse for the period of this “immune-system flare-up” event.

If your immune system is compromised due to lifestyle factors or diet, you’ll notice that you get sick more often than normal – and you stay sick for longer, or get sicker than everyone around you from the same conditions.

Take probiotics at the first signs of a lowered immune system: You’ll feel better within just a few days of starting the routine.

Yeast Production

Yeast is one of the forms of natural bacteria that can be found in and around the body: Just the same way as probiotic bacteria, when the levels of yeast in your body aren’t at the levels it should be, you’ll show outward signs or symptoms.

Repeated yeast infections (which can commonly affect several parts of the body including the tongue, mouth and throat – or commonly the genitals) is one sign that your body’s natural levels of yeast production have gone down. 

The overproduction of yeast in the body can also rashes and other conditions, or might go together with conditions related to the immune system.

It’s likely that the natural levels of probiotics in the body are going to be lowered at the same time.  

How do you fix it? The trick is probiotics. 

Skin Conditions

Other than the stomach, the skin is one of the most commonly affected areas when your natural levels of probiotics isn’t what they should be.

Some rashes, irritations and other skin conditions are likely to fix themselves as soon as they can be addressed: Again, fixing it can be done with probiotics – and it’s a clear sign that your body is telling you exactly when to take probiotics for better health.
