Mr. Bejelly has been on a cold brew kick lately. He’s also been experimenting with different creamer flavors besides his standard HWC. Now, it’s not a secret that he is not a fan of coconut flavored recipes so I knew it was time to break out the big dogs and see if he might enjoy Silk Almond Milk.
Now sometimes I can be darn right sneaky so I thought it would be fun to to blind taste test him. I made him up a cup of Joe and added a splash of Silk Almond Vanilla Milk.
Before he took a sip, he knew something was up (I don’t have a poker face y’all). I spilled the beans and he took a sip and then a big gulp. I figured that was a pretty good sign.
Have you tried Silk Almond Milk? If not, what’s stopping you?
It’s carried in most major grocery stores and you can use this helpful page to locate a store in your area that carries it. Also, they often coupons in their newsletter, so sign up to learn more and save some money!
Because I just can’t stop from fussing in my kitchen, I came up with a dairy-free creamer recipe for an extra special treat in your coffee (or in my case dirty chai).
Dairy-Free Caramel Creamer
2 tablespoons coconut oil
1/4 cup coconut sugar
2 cups Silk Unsweetenened Almond Milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
In a small sauce pan over medium heat melt the coconut oil.
Add in the coconut sugar and cook for 2 minutes then whisk in the almond milk and vanilla extract. Bring to a boil and remove from the stove.
Store in an airtight container for 1 week.
