Nectarines and Cream

I’m typically a peach girl but this year I have been tempted by its half naked cousin the nectarine.  My local farmers market has the sweetest nectarines and I’ve polished off a bushel since I discovered them 2 weeks ago. I bought my weekly quart of cream and then I broke my darling french press. This means no coffee for me until I get a new one and a ton of cream wasting away in the fridge. Then inspiration struck and I decided to create something tempting and whipped up Nectarines and Cream with a twist. I added cardamon and it is so good I can not wait to try it in dirty chai.

I, too, love nectarines. And they are so GOOD this year, it seems. I’m only just beginning to explore cardamom in desserts and really liking that taste with fruit. I sooo look forward to trying this out. Sounds delightful! I thibnk tonight, as I just bought some nectarines yesterday.
